The Railway House

I havn't posted a 'real' blog since October, all of them have been random lists and random quotes. Here is a genuine update blog.

Okay, lets get the minor details out of the way.

I got a haircut, I got a Mac.

I finally got settled into Confetti, i've made some great friends and I feel as though im genuinley getting really close to them. I'm also feeling alot more independent lately as i've hardly spent any time at home. A few nights ago I went to my first film festival and it was incredible, it started of with me and Adam hanging around, feeling really out of place, not knowing anyone but our tutor who was rushing around talking to everyone. Eventually we got into the theatre and sat through a retrospective of Simon Ellis' short films. Then after there was a Q&A with him.

We left the theatre and stood around in the lobby, Adam had to leave but I really didn't want to and was saved by Stuart, I guy from our course who none of us really knew but I already knew he was a good guy. So after Adam left me and Stuart hung around drinking and getting to know Simon Ellis' (I got his email so I shall be getting in touch begging for runner jobs)

Yeah so I spent the night trading anecdotes and getting very drunk with Stuart until eventually our tutor showed up again and we sat talking to him and found out that a film he had edited was showing and we decided to stay and watch. It was really enjoyable and an all round great night. I feel like i've made a good friend out of Stuart, even though I havn't spoken to him since that night. But I know he's going on the budapest trip so i'll get to talk to him again.

Oh, that's another thing. There is alot of travel in my not so distant future. In 3 days I shall be flying with the family to Florida for 2 weeks and then in February i'll be going to budapest with college.

I'm still not in a Christmas mood yet and I really don't want to be 19.

At this moment in time (1:50am) I should really be sleeping or doing my essay. I still havn't finished and still have a CV to do after that, I can see an all nighter coming on. I'm at college at 12 in the morning but i've got to go into town to pick up my mum's christmas present. Oh, college, just need a moment to brag, I did my camera licence and got a distinction, A FUCKING DISTINCTION, ME!? wtf. So yeah I was pretty happy about that and I had a good chat with Chris (my other tutor) about it.

I'm looking forward to friendsmas, i'm not looking forward to giving gifts as I am still yet to buy them. I suck, hardcore.

Okay I think on that note i'm gonna crack on with this essay so I can sleep. Goodbye for another month or so!
